i-Pad Apps for Education
iPad apps which support learning. Apps are free (when I last checked) unless otherwise stated. Prices often change so double-check before purchasing. For bulk purchases for schools volume discounts will usually be available. I am still adding apps and information to this site so check back regularly. Free apps may contain in-app purchases and/or advertising. Preview before using with young learners.
General Apps
Browsers
Safari Browser is standard with the ipad Chrome Browser - The ipad comes with Safari but Chrome can be handy to use, especially with Google Workspace (G-Suite). 
QR Codes
Create these using a site like QR Code Generator or use an app like QR Code Creator, and read them with your ipad or phone camera These have many uses eg.

Storage and Files
The Drive app is best for those who use Google Workspace (GSuite). Log in to your account to access your files. Many other apps will save to Drive. Dropbox Join Dropbox to access on computer. Then download the app and log in to your account. Syncs between all devices. N.B. ios 11 was a major upgrade and some older apps will no longer work in ios 11 and above. I have marked these with an asterisk* where I have found them. I have also tried to locate alternatives where possible. Some newer apps will only work in ios 11 and above.
